San Jose guy who loves biking, swimming and rock climbing. Interested in a woman who likes similar actiities. If your interested in climbed hills on your bike and are >35 years old then we should try it some time. I have 2 kids, 15 year old girl, and 12 year old boy. Similar kid experience welcome. I'm a techy and I like it and I do like to work but family ( and women) come first. I like the usual going out to eat and going to the movies.

Favorite place(s):
Yosemite has to rate way up there. I've visited Yosemite about 50 times. Early, I did a lot of back packing with a bunch of liberal Berkeley types. More recently I've been going in the winter and combined both skiing and hiking. I've been so lucky with beautiful snow falls. I've attached some pictures of the last Yosemite visit.

Politics:
I am a staunch left winger and I'm proud that I protested against the Iraq war before it started. I can't say I hate anybody or anything, but Bush has brought me as close to hating anybody that I can think of. I'm your middle class environmentalist. I've been a member of just about all the major organizations over the past 25 years. My 2 favorites are UCS ( Union of Concerned Scientists and Amnesty International). I write letters for AI.

Religion:
That I'm not. Some of my best friends are religious and I respect their beliefs but it certainly has caused a lot of suffering in world wide politics. I think it is great that some people can have solace from religion and it makes them feel better. But I feel sad for people who think that God is going to save them. I was born Jewish and I think probably still act some Jewish stereotypes. My parents were born in New York City and that just adds to my bluntness personality. My kids did attend a Jewish Temple for a few years, completely their option. I don't consider my kids Jewish because they don't know a lot. In contrast I do think knowing about religion is important and I would consider myself quite knowledgeable.

Work:
I've worked for intel for almost 24 years now. I am their bread-and-butter, I do microprocessor design. I like it and I work in a highly multicultural environment which I like. I will work too hard and am looking for a woman get me out of the office.

My Personality:
I really believe in honesty to the point of bluntness. I am working on blunting my bluntness. I do believe in respect for elders and for those who may not know so much. I try to teach my kids respect and courtesy, especially of older people. I think I am both verbal and a good listener. I am genuinely curious so expect a lot of questions from me. I very much like people who are equally curious and ask questions.

Humor:
This is real important to me. I accept a lot of kidding from my friends and I like to return the same. I'm a very confident person, thus kidding to me is a form of humor and not a put down, even when the kidding is in part true.

Relationships:
I am a hopeless romantic. I just think it is so fun to hang out with a woman, do activities together, talk, and share experiences.
